I believe in swimming. Every moment spent in the pool makes me believe that there is a point of living on this planet. When I get in the water I can easily spend about two hours there. Every stroke I take feels like I am about to make it to the finish line. I feel very excited when I swim because I have fun with my friends. During every practice I can hear the water splash. I can hear others scream because they are running out of energy. Many people can say that swimming can seem easy, but it is not. There are times that I just feel that my energy will not last for so long and that I will mostly get tired. However my trainer motivates me. I can believe that I am capable of making myself better. When I swim I feel like I am about to stop and take a break, but I try to think about my goal of being the best. When I was younger about eleven years old I did not know that I would be a good swimmer. Sometimes I even thought I would not have the chance to learn how to swim That was a real embarrassment to me. There was that one time when everybody was playing in the deep waters and I could not join them because I would just simply drown. I still believed in the happiness I had from other activities, but I really wanted to learn how to swim. A Couple of weeks later I went to visit my uncle John. He lived in the suburbs and I was really thrilled to spend some time with him. The good thing about Uncle John was that he knew how to swim really well. Moreover he owned his own pool. For a second I just said to myself," That's my moment to really learn how to swim." My uncle was and still is a professional swimmer. Besides I think he had to train very hard because standing 6'5" and weighting over 250 pounds might be hard to do laps in the pool. When my uncle swims freestyle it takes him no longer than three minutes to swim 200 yards. Also my uncle John can simply swim 50 yards underwater without taking one single breath. Some swimmers may say that it isn't that hard to accomplish, but compared their age to my uncle's would make a big difference. And by the way, my uncle is 42 years old. It was a shiny, beautiful day and my uncle and I decided to go to the pool. Finally, he taught me how to swim. I could not do it perfectly after the first time, but I started to become a pro. Now when I can really enjoy the passion of swimming, I can easily swim 200 yards under three minutes or 50 yards underwater without a single breath. Sometimes my uncle may even feel embarrassed because I can easily beat his records. I believe that everybody is able to overcome every single obstacle there is because it is the real purpose of living. I did not know how to swim when I really wanted to, but I thought about the fact that sometime in the future I will finally make my dream come true.
