A tornado is a cloud that spins really fast, and the tornado can do lots of destruction. The cloud is a violent and deadly vortex that can suck you in or throw you somewhere else. The cloud spins when the heat and damp weather mix. The air spins faster and the weather chases each other. Twisters can rip off tree tops. There can be lightning during a tornado. Tornadoes are able to hit here so watch out. A wall cloud can rarely last more than 10 minutes. The winds of a tornado can be very violent because the winds are as fast as 310 mph. Thats a lot. (500 KPH). A tornado needs a wall cloud to be there. Tornadoes begin fat then they turn skinny than a little bigger. Hailstones can be active while a tornado. Tornadoes lift things but put them down undisturbed. Tornadoes are like Supercell except smaller. Tornadoes do not cause house to explode just to tear it apart. Tornadoes do not skip, they say they do by going up a bit. But some people do think. It is easy to survive a tornado because it is rare maybe even impossible for a tornado to last longer than ten (10) minutes or less. If you're out in the country try to hide in a ditch while a tornado because it might be safe there. If a tornado goes through a house, the house is now destroyed. Small houses can be blown away by a tornado. It is easy to get caught by a tornado when you're outside. Storm cellars are the safest place to be. Palm trees bend so they don't fall over. Supercell storms are like tornadoes but a lot larger. When a Supercell storm is halfway formed it will shoot up dust from the ground. Supercell that are fully formed the storms can barely touch the ground. Water spouts look like pouring water. Waterspouts are tornadoes that occur in the middle of the ocean and half of it is a water. Water spouts occur in the Bermuda Triangle and can be deadly. Tornadoes are very scary because they can do lots of very violent things. Like, lift you up and throw you randomly or throw you first on the ground and they can give you a concussion by doing that. Scientist see that every year the weather gets warmer and the tornadoes will get a lot stronger and they're destruction will get a lot more frightening. Tornadoes can blow up your home. There are other ways to be safe from tornadoes. Like hiding in small ditches in the middle of nowhere. There are also some homes with a built in hide out so we don't get blown away with our home.   • Are there changes needed in word choice, sentence length and structure, etc.?
  • Are the quotations (if required) properly cited?
  • Has the essay been proofread for spelling, punctuation, grammar, etc.?
  • Does the essay have an interesting and appropriate title?
