A large number of learners faced many difficulties in reading but can be developed by means of extensive reading and continual practice and which is the most effectual way to improve language proficiency. According to (Brown 2010) extensive reading is reading materials as much as probable at a suitable level for readers by selecting what is appropriate to read. extensive reading is neglected by majority of textbooks which should be integrated into textbooks with the aim of overcoming a lot of problems that have been faced by many learners and believes that extensive reading has many advantages for learners to conquer the barriers that impede the usefulness of adopting extensive reading and should be an essential part of the language learning syllabus as well as helps in overcoming a lot of a anxiety that discourages many establishments and tutors from adopting it. One of the concerns is suspicious about the legitimacy of extensive reading and doubts about the practical applications of setting up an extensive programme so textbook can solve this problem by giving credibility and legitimacy to extensive reading.

  • Are there changes needed in word choice, sentence length and structure, etc.?
  • Are the quotations (if required) properly cited?
